Neuroscience-informed somatic education and restorative care for modern nervous systems.

You are not broken. Your nervous system is just responding.

Most people find Somatic Wellness during a transition. Burnout, menopause, trauma recovery, divorce. A moment when the old ways of coping stop working.

This work begins with a simple reframe. Your body is not failing you. It is responding exactly as it was designed to. When we understand how the nervous system works, we can stop fighting ourselves and start working with what is already there.

Grounded in science. Informed by lived experience.

Sara Salehi holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Psychology and a Master’s degree in Neuroscience and Rehabilitation Science from the University of Toronto. She is also a registered acupuncturist, yoga teacher, Thai massage therapist, and somatic wellness practitioner with over 13 years of teaching experience.

Before this work, Sara served in the Canadian Armed Forces, where she witnessed firsthand the impact of trauma, stress, and high-pressure environments on the human nervous system. That experience, combined with personal burnout, became the catalyst for her shift into somatic and restorative practices.

Her work bridges Western neuroscience with Traditional Chinese Medicine, movement, breath and somatic education to support regulation, resilience and long-term wellbeing.

In studio practitioners

In addition to Sara, you can schedule a bodywork session with Ruhai Lin (he/him/his)

Lingson is a Registered Massage Therapist with a focus on pain management, sports and overuse injuries, postural dysfunction, and nervous system regulation. His treatments integrate therapeutic massage, trigger point therapy, and fascial release to reduce tension, restore mobility, and support the body’s natural healing processes.

He is also a certified Pilates instructor and a 500+ hour Yoga Alliance–certified teacher. His background in movement and rehabilitation allows him to support clients in rebuilding strength, improving posture, and developing a deeper connection to their bodies.

More than bodywork. This is nervous system education.

Somatic Wellness is built on three pillars: education, practicality and restoration.

Education comes first. Understanding fight, flight, freeze, and the autonomic nervous system changes how people relate to their bodies. Practical tools follow. Breath, movement, and somatic awareness that can be used in daily life, not just in a session. Restoration is the foundation. Healing does not happen through force. It happens when the nervous system feels safe enough to slow down.

This work is educational and supportive in nature. It is not psychotherapy. It is nervous system literacy, offered with clarity and care.

Ways to
work together

Somatic Wellness offers both educational programs and regulated medical services.

Explore Courses & Programs

Educational offerings include somatic healing programs, teacher trainings, workshops, and online learning rooted in neuroscience and embodied practice.

Explore Bodywork Services

Medical services such as acupuncture and hands-on bodywork are offered through Sara’s regulated practice and are booked separately through the Jane platform.

Supporting people through change

Sara’s work often attracts people in periods of transition. Women navigating menopause. Individuals recovering from trauma or chronic stress. Teachers and caregivers who are depleted. People who are highly capable, deeply self-aware, and exhausted from holding it all together.

Whether through education, group programs, or regulated medical care, the intention remains the same. To help people feel safer in their bodies and more trusting of themselves.
